Meet little Pup Sparkles

This angel decided to move into our chalet during our Sri Lanka trip back in 2018. We gave her food, a bath and treated her itchy spots. She was such a cutie, with a big personality.. we wanted to keep her. Unfortunately, Sri Lanka does not allow pet exports, so we had no choice but to find her a safe place.

We took our baby to @dogcareclinicev in Unawatuna, and wow, what an amazing place! These people go above and beyond with the dog population in Sri Lanka. The veterinary clinic looks like a doggy hotel, not a clinic, it’s so lovely. We were able to sponsor all Sparkles medical needs and we still send her money every month. She is overflowing with happiness as you can see on the most recent pictures below.

The clinic is German owned and relies fully on donations from the public. Sparkles was such a clever doggy to choose us to help her, and lucky us, seeing her so happy makes our hearts sing.

We wish we could save all these animals.. If you ever visit Sri Lanka, look them up and go say hello to this fantastic charity. Better yet, sign up and sponsor a dog while you are there. We did a tour, their place is 100% legitimate and they really need help from those who can.
